Agave, Day 43

The agave’s gotten so tall, it’s getting hard to discern its height! I would estimate it at around fourteen feet. The yellow flowers are pretty and delicate though apparently still not open since they are not fuzzy yet. The plant just keeps growing and growing and growing.

I think it’s getting parched by the sun, though. Temperatures have been in the high nineties the past week.

I gave the plant a deep root watering tonight. I hope that slakes its thirst!  Tomorrow morning, I’ll see.

Notice the pups beneath the plant. They look healthy and green. I’m going to have a little agave garden once this one finishes its display.

I look forward, every day, to seeing how it has changed. It’s struggling with the heat, though.

That is amazing and such an experience. Everyday reaching a new height awaiting the flowers. How fun!

Yes, it changes every day. Something to look forward to. It’s struggling with the heat, though.
