Today has been a warm, sunny, Nevada day. The agave seems to be soaking up the sun and warmth. It's now two-plus inches taller than I am! Three days ago, it was barely up to my chin. In such difficult times, it's good to see growth. -

It just keeps growing! I find it astounding. So much was going on inside the agave all this time, getting it ready to do this. I wonder how it will fare in the cold weather we're having. -

It turns out that agaves are pollinated by bats. Who knew? Bats require sweet agave nectar for their migratory trips. Agaves need bats to proliferate. If I can, I will propagate this agave myself. Here it is on Day Three. -
