The buds are reddish now. I'm expecting to see yellow flowers soon. The lower plant was looking stressed from the sun so I put cheesecloth over it. I can't tell if it is helping. -

The agave's gotten so tall, it's getting hard to discern its height! I would estimate it at around fourteen feet. The yellow flowers are pretty and delicate though apparently still not open since they are not fuzzy yet. The plant just keeps growing and growing and growing. Oh, excitement! The agave is starting to flower. My neighbor, Judy, took a photo. The flowers are coming out of the asparagus leaves. Can't wait to see them emerge.
